Uzazi Salama Project Launches Interactive Media Campaign to Improve Maternal and Adolescent Health in Ntoroko Distric

Ntoroko, 2026 –
Faith for Family Health initiative (3FHi), through the Uzazi Salama Project, is collaborating with  TRAC FM to conduct a powerful interactive media campaign aimed at increasing awareness, improving knowledge, and strengthening demand for adolescent-responsive maternal and reproductive health services in Ntoroko District.

The campaign is leveraging TRAC FM’s interactive radio platform to engage communities through live talk shows, SMS polling, and real-time feedback mechanisms. This initiative seeks to address critical challenges such as high teenage pregnancy rates, limited access to youth-friendly services, and the impact of climate-related disruptions on maternal and adolescent health in flood-prone areas like Kanara Sub-county and Kanara Town Council.

By amplifying community voices and fostering dialogue between adolescents, parents, religious and cultural leaders, and health workers, the campaign aims to break stigma, dispel myths, and promote positive health-seeking behaviours.

This media intervention forms a key component of the Uzazi Salama project, which works to enhance demand, access, uptake, and quality of adolescent and maternal health services while integrating climate resilience and economic empowerment for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).

Stay tuned as we bring community-driven conversations on sexual and reproductive health, climate resilience, and adolescent well-being directly to your radio and mobile phones.
