Empowering Communities through Advocacy
What's Happening at 3FHi - Empowering Communities through Advocacy
Date: October 8th, 2024
Location: Karamoja, Uganda
At Faith for Family Health Initiative (3FHi), we are dedicated to providing technical assistance that strengthens the advocacy capacity of organizations across Uganda. Currently, we are working closely with ADRA Uganda to implement a SMART Advocacy Strategy focused on tackling critical land issues in the Karamoja region.
Our collaboration with ADRA Uganda is aimed at developing sustainable solutions to address land challenges that affect the livelihoods and security of communities in Karamoja. The SMART Advocacy approach is adaptable and agile, allowing us to tailor our efforts to the unique needs of this region. This strategy helps us drive meaningful change by being specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
Consultative Meeting in Karamoja
Recently, we supported ADRA Uganda in hosting a consultative meeting on land policies and the Land Act for stakeholders in the Karamoja region. The LC V of Kotido officially opened the meeting, which brought together community leaders, local authorities, and key stakeholders to engage in dialogue about the region's land issues. This meeting marked a crucial step towards fostering community involvement and ensuring that land policies reflect the needs and rights of the people.
At 3FHi, we are proud to support Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) like ADRA Uganda in building effective advocacy strategies. By offering technical assistance, we aim to empower these organizations to lead impactful projects that contribute to sustainable development and improved livelihoods for communities in Uganda.
