3FHi Update: Collaboration on Energy, Climate Resilience, and Health

Today, the Faith for Family Health Initiative (3FHi) team, in partnership with the Church of Uganda, had a fruitful meeting with Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa, Uganda’s Minister of Energy. The discussion focused on exploring potential opportunities and strategic approaches to promote energy, climate resilience, and health for household and community transformation.
This engagement marks a pivotal step towards integrating energy solutions into health interventions, aiming to enhance climate resilience while improving the well-being of communities. The collaborative effort aligns with 3FHi’s mission of driving holistic transformation through partnerships that address the underlying determinants of health and well-being.
Key outcomes of the meeting include a shared commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, strengthening community resilience to climate impacts, and promoting health equity. This partnership sets a strong foundation for future joint initiatives aimed at sustainable development for communities across Uganda.

News Update: Together for Progress: Shaping Uganda’s Future Through Sustainable Partnerships

The "Together for Progress" event is taking place today, September 25th, 2024, at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel! organized by USAID/Uganda Civil Society Strengthening Activity in partnership with Private sector foundation. This highly anticipated event brings together a diverse group of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), private sector leaders, and development partners, all united by one goal: to build sustainable partnerships that will shape the future of Uganda.
With the theme "Shaping Uganda’s Future Through Sustainable Partnerships," today's discussions are exploring ways to strengthen collaboration across sectors, with a particular focus on improving health outcomes, advancing gender equality, and promoting good governance.
Key topics on the agenda include:
Building resilient and scalable CSO-private sector partnerships.
Mobilizing resources to enhance health systems and social accountability.
Increasing visibility and investment in SRMNCAH+N initiatives.
Addressing gender norms and empowering women and girls in communities.

Featured Event: Philanthropist Engagement on Health Initiatives

3FHi met with philanthropists on a working visit to Uganda. The discussions centered around health interventions, with plans for future collaborations with the Ministry of Health Uganda and WHO Uganda. These engagements aim to strengthen support for projects addressing maternal and child health.

News Update: 3FHi Facilitates SMART Advocacy Workshop for ADRA Uganda in Kitgum

Location: Kitgum, Uganda
In Kitgum District, Northern Uganda! Faith for Family Health Initiative (3FHi) is facilitating the SMART Advocacy Workshop for the ADRA Uganda team at Bomah Hotel from July 7-12, 2024. This workshop aims to build capacity and equip ADRA with the tools to develop impactful advocacy strategies across their key projects.
The 3FHi team, providing technical assistance as a faith-based organization, is guiding ADRA Uganda through the SMART advocacy framework to strengthen their advocacy efforts in sectors such as land rights, health, refugee response, and livelihood support. Over the four-day training, participants developed seven advocacy strategies tailored for five major ADRA projects across the country.
The workshop is a key part of 3FHi’s mission to enhance the capacity of organizations through practical training and collaborative strategy development, ensuring that advocacy initiatives are both effective and sustainable.
