The interfaith alliance for Health is an advancement of the inter-faith alliance for Family planning which was launched
during the national family planning conference in 2019 by 3FHi as mechanism to mobilize inter-faith religious leaders as champions to support services delivery, influence policies and advocate for family planning investments.
Since then, key milestones were achieved: Over 200 interfaith religious leaders have been trained as FP/SRHR
champions in 20 districts, District Costed implementation plans developed, over 200,000 USD mobilized for Family
planning from district plans and budgets, tools and guidelines developed to support integration of Family planning /

has organized a national high- level dialogues by led by eminent inter-Faith religious leaders and the faith community
have committed every with clear actions on how to support RMNCAH+N service delivery, policy influence and
investment.
In order to consolidate and sustain these gains as we scale up and deepen interfaith action and collaboration on
broader health issues, an inter-faith alliance was launched. Through this inter-Faith alliance mechanism, 3FHi and
the entire Faith based fraternity in collaboration with key stake holders; capacity of additional inter- faith religious
leaders in broader health aspects will be enhanced, tools and materials will be developed to enable the trained inter-
faith religious leader’s health champion integrate health messages in their structures and events to uptake of health
services.
The inter-faith alliance for health will provide space and platform for interfaith religious leaders to engage
government, members of parliament, cultural leaders, CSOs, development partners and other stakeholders on
pertinent health issues. These will also act as accountability fora to ensure better health for all. The launch of the
Inter-Faith Alliance for Health represents a significant step toward fostering health and well-being for all, ensuring
that every mother, child, adolescent and family can live healthier, more fulfilled lives.
